Really enjoyed this. The core book and accompanying tribe books provide an excellent and entertaining view into a seldom explored setting that looks genuinely fun to play. Savage Age offers a solid mix of new material and twists on some familiar stuff to make it feel like it all belongs in the time period. The art is great, and everything is well laid out, but it's the amount of research and care put into bringing the prehistorical period to life that really rings it home for me.
In The Savage Age, silver is rare, the divide between the mundane and spirit world is much thinner (or not so present), and gnosis is more prevalent, but that doesn't mean things are safer. The delirium hasn't set in, the world is harder to travel, and a thin gauntlet cuts both ways. This is the sort of game wherein an obstacle could just as easily be an immensely powerful spirit or a lack of common language. These are books that really set out to make the most of their setting, and I look forward to seeing more as it continues to be fleshed out.
Whether you want to explore the War of Rage, spice up your usual game night, or just love the idea of getting to say "Cavemen and Werewolves" as a pitch, check this line out!
