We had a great time with Applefest in our Colymar campaign, in which one of the adventurers is the thane of Apple Lane. It plugged in very smoothly to the campaign, allowing me to work some of our recurring enemies and allies into it. We had fun with some of the vendors, particularly the puppeteers. And there was so much material to work with! I ended up only using about third of the material. I'll hold the rest in the reserve for a future Applefest. Thanks for sharing this with us!

I have just finished running this for my players, one of whom is Thane of Apple Lane, it fits perfectly into the Campaign from the Gamemaster Screen. We had some great laughs in the lighter moments of the festival, some good social stuff interacting with the VIPs and some nice challenges for even a quite experience group ( we have 6 players incl. 2 Rune Priests) . I got about 6 sessions out of it and could extend that as there are some nice adventure seeds that lead on from this great value!

A very fun little piece that could be adapted to a non-Apple Lane area quite easily (everybody has a harvest festival of some sort!). A few non-congruities to be overlooked or adapted, but lots of interesting people and situations for players to deal with. And the festival could be trotted out every year, though perhaps with fewer...distractions in the future. :)
