A very fun little piece that could be adapted to a non-Apple Lane area quite easily (everybody has a harvest festival of some sort!). A few non-congruities to be overlooked or adapted, but lots of interesting people and situations for players to deal with. And the festival could be trotted out every year, though perhaps with fewer...distractions in the future. :)

My favorite JC book to date! A seriously in-depth look at what can only be described as a cursed and completely dysfunctional clan! Detailed descriptions of characters, though is very light on mechanics numbers since it is made to be used with multiple Glorantha RPGs. There is a lot that could be borrowed out of this for a clan that your characters are interacting with, or just take the whole thing! Based in pre-1625, so needs some thinking to bring it into an RQG game. Maps are fantastic and illustrations are quite nice! I could definitely handle fewer Welsh words, though...

A fun addition to your game, whether your game is in Clearwine or just visit a large town or city. Several storylines to follow or interesting NPCs that your players could interact with or even recruit as they build a retinue.

Worthwhile with some interesting items that can be sprinkled into your game. A very interesting intro on different ways that treasure can be divided up in Sartarite culture and good explanations of dragons blood and shaman items.

An exceptional piece of work! I liked the pdf so much I had to own the hardback! An especially fantastic introduction for players that are completely new to Glorantha, can be jiggered for a current campaign. Takes some mental gymnastics to set it post-1625, a short primer on how to do that would be a good addition at some point.

I recommend this. It is a good adventure as written for an Apple Lane or Clearwine based group but could be ported anywhere there are big hills or mountains nearby.

A fun and interesting scenario. Ideal for introducing an Apple Lane housed party to their Varmandi neighbors!
