This was easily the best module of the series and the players enjoyed it. As a DM, I really enjoyed the "false finish" as it encouraged resource use making the final battle a little more challenging. Likethe previous mods, most of the encounters are pretty easy but made more challenging with the addition of things like a Skull Lord or Death Knight. One of our DMs even included a Beholder Zombie too.

While the story is there if the players look for it, we wished it was more readily available to the players. More lore would have really driven home how bad this threat really was. Ultimately everyone had fun and got to play more high level content so there are 2 wins right there.

I applaud the authors of the series to write a tier 3 arc! I know from experience they are terribly challenging to write and design!

CCC-SVH-01-03 4/5 Stars

The finale of the Raven King trilogy. I found the module fairly interesting to run. The map scale was on the large size, so I had trouble making things fit on my paper. And I admit I just let 60’ darkvision slide, as some of the rooms are big enough to make the corners out of range. A tier 3 adventure which does not involve mind flayers or vampires, my party enjoyed it. I enjoyed watching them burn through their resources before the boss fight, and then have an “OOPS” moment when they realize they are not quite finished. A straight forward dungeon crawl. I found it easy to prep for, but some of the lair actions took time to resolve. Not as much RP as some adventures, but still a nice 4 hour game.

If you're going to change a creatures abilities in the text of the adventure, please change them in the included stat blocks. While the 'normal' abilities are noted as subject to change, the specific changes for this module should be noted. Also, if you give an NPC a magical item they're noted as using for effect, please add it to their statblock.

Those issues aside, it's really a solidly written adventure and quite fun to run.

Sean, guidance for the CCC program was that we are not allowed to make changes in the printed stat blocks, only as sidebars. I'm not aware of this policy changing, but I'll double check. I'll try to find a way to make it clearer and simpler to run the changes if that's still the rule. Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed the adventure and thanks for supporting Second Harvest!

This adventure, the finale of the Raven Lord Trilogy, focuses primarily on dungeon crawl. Be prepared to fight a BUNCH of enemies with the potential for harrasment from the boss. (It's a mummy lord in his lair, it's gonna be rough.) What make this dungeon as difficult not just the enemies, which are primarily mummies and wraiths, but the terrain itself opposes the adventurers. Be careful, the results of the previous module determines the difficulty in this adventure to ultimately defeat the Mummy Lord: Attatarxes, the Raven Lord.
