Amazing how all I needed was the words "Pirate LARP" and my player group was instantly on board, so to speak. There was a lot of enthusiasm for this game just from the concept alone, and the actual experience didn't let them down. The characters are well-designed to give everyone a concrete goal and kick up a lot of conflict, but I was surprised how much fun they had just inhabiting these characters, playing the included gambling mini-games, bragging about their conquests, and so forth. This is a fun game for a group that likes intrigue and scheming, but also likes to play swaggering, over-the-top, archetypal fantasy characters. Definitely recommended.
