This is a great concept for running an RPG adventure solo. Depending on the effort you want to put into it, this can run anything from a mini-delve to a major on-going campaign. You can run it all with the help of this book.

However for it to work properly it requires a good amount of effort, ingenuity and recording. The book points you in the right direction but you have to interpret the details yourself.

A very ingenuous system.

Two Page Mini Delves Vol. 1 [BUNDLE]

This is a series of mini-dungeons by Roving Band of Misfits. They all have a nice small map with room descriptions and a good introductory premise. They can be run in a two-hour session or less so are good for small side-quests stuck in here and there to a campaign, or short one-shots. They all seem quite realistic and well-thought-out for what they are trying to portray.

I highly recommend the whole series.

The Dwarven Museum at Moriah is actually one of the longer ones of this series. When we ran this, one character did die, mostly due to player's stupidity, so it is reasonably dangerous. There were a couple of ingenious ideas incorporated in this module.

I highly recommend the whole series.

I purchased a PDF copy of this module. It was useful to have the map in particular in electronic form so I could dice it up and present map images to my party showing only what they could see. The type is small and hard-to-read but this is basically the fault of the original module. The room designations are with Roman Numerals which made things a bit more confusing. The reporduction was an accurate recreation of the original.

This has to be the silliest of the early TSR modules that I have encountered. The maps of both levels look like they were doodled by some bored soul one day, before it was decided to turn it into a module. Other than wandering monster charts for both levels there are no monsters and treasure detailed in the module. It is stated that the DM is supposed to put them in as an exercise in dungeon design, but there are only sketchy guidelines given on how to do this. It sounds more like someone was too lazy to bother or in too much of a hurry to get it published. So all you get are doodled maps and room descriptions. Plus with the use of Roman numerals it is sometimes hard to relate the room description to the map location.

This was the first of the OD&D modules issued and by far the worst. Skip over this one and go to B2 The Keep on the Borderlands, perhaps the best OD&D mini-campaign ever produced.

A great introductory module to get players into the game. It also provides a convenient base for further adventuring. This module is intended for Original Dungeons & Dragons (OD&D/BECMI) but with miniscule modifications - or even no modifications at all - can be used for AD&D 1st or 2nd Edition.

Two Page Mini Delves - FREE [BUNDLE]

I took this because it was free (I like free) and it contained shorter dungeons. As a dungeon master and a player I'm not fond of longer dungeons; they go on and on so that the players forget why they were here in the first place. (Longer dungeons are made because it's easier to draw and populate a dungeon than to come up with a good plot for it.) So I took the free bundle with the intention of seeing if I liked them; if I did I would buy the second bundle.

I bought the second bundle, and I'm happy with those too.
