I enjoy Baseball and often catach a game or two. However, the length of each game sometimes is too much for me. Deadball came along and it is amazing. The game can go with me and I can continue the game anywhere (the need for space was something I thought would be a restriction but hey, PDF rosters and dice apps means the game is handheld and portable). Not difficult to learn, inclusion of some modifers that takes pure luck off the table, I have had many seasons of fun. With the supplements that have been published, this game is as fresh as the day I purchased it (I believe it was Kickstarter). One of my few games on the table on a regular basis.

A rebel at heart and an educator, this set of rules came at the right time for the topic on Deviance in Psychology and Values, Mores and Norms in Sociology. What better way to have these concepts come to life than in a game that each student could play as a character, and try with feedback from others. I love the layout and how easily this is portable. Learning is not as quick for someone without RPG experience and in a limited time class. RPG has been an escape and this title and engine has made it come to live, and has assisted in the sharing of knowledge, as well as helping others into the field of RPG.

The exansion to the rules are welcomed and enhance the game to a deeper level. But we got the game for its simplicity and the limited options. Sadly, many of the rules expansion have been put to one side in lieu of our own rules which just make the game ours. I guess Tiny Frontiers has developed a set of house rules we all enjoy that perhaps someone else playing the core rules might not. Still an awesome product, though not as well received in my household as the initial release.

The DCC engine is one which has helped me through the pandemic. Easy to teach and to play (with death begin so easy at the 0 level that it makes the pandemic appear mild). Coupled with another engine, DCC has kept us entertained when we leaving the home was not an option due to laws, or due to illness. This was the first module we played through and enjoyed. There have been others but there can only be one Sailrs on the Starless Sea. Black and white and olad school art defienitely make this a winner.

This was purchased more as a resource for other games than a game in itself. While I have read through this and see how the different elements come together, it never excited my playing group. Perhaps it is the theme of King Arthur that has lost is lulstre over the ages. Written in the same format and perhaps a Robin Hood or Swashbuckling background, it might have gained more traction. Excellent materials and it helped me with my history on King Arthur. Sadly, it is not an engine that has received traction. The artefacts and approach have though.

I needed something small and easily accessible by my family. Tiny Frontiers achieved this and we have had so much fun. Its a combination on the theme and the mechanics that sold my family on Tiny Frontiers and the related resources. What makes this even more accessible is the A5 hard copy of the rules that we can pass around (PDFs work well but just lacks that hard copy feel that ages over time and plays).
