some nice ideas but 2nd edition is a pale shadow of the 1st edition, the good is the decent character creation pretty simple and easy to do . the in-between the the remade world some will love others hate why change not sure i really saw the point of The Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth representative being added to me doesn't really have enough of an interest to seem worthwhile but lots of US made games are obsessed with adding any democracy stuff even if it barely makes any sense , the bad the rules are not great and basically everything else i also really wasn't a massive fan of the art for this but that is subjective

to finish buy and play first edition my group still play it after 3 goes of 2nd edition and have always come back to 1st while not perfect 1st is just a better game

Not great full of errors and none clarified rules clearly not had proofreading , i say steer clear of this product.

the set is a cross of WHFRP and Dark heresy and RT it doesn't really have anything or add anything to the old rule sets its confused and pointless anything this has you could already do,

dont give them money for nothing i fear this is a cash grab where like WHFRP 4th you will have lots of little books to provide what you should have been given in the core rules , it also has a strange thing where it wants the party to be nothing like its afraid that the PC’s have any status or power don't get this if you don't had Dark heresy or rogue trader get them if you want o play in a 40k universe

this is a good update for the rules but for playing the game and character generation its poor very restrictive no feeling of choice for what you play or anything like that the whole first set of PC's may as well be carbon copies of each other but one will have more APP and such I would say stick to 4th edition

I must point out as a backer i am biased but i do truly think this book justifies a 5 star mention few people would taker a decision to release a campaign book that is so compatible so for that alone it deservers mention.

so Pro's great art work grand scope for ideas the aforementioned capability a real tool for a campaign even if you don't use all of it

Con's the multiple stat sets are not always 100% consistent but frankly that isn't a big deal i would say no bookmarks that is a pain

overall a good product streamlining the multiple rules sets for running units with the BattleTech universe really only suitable for battalion level games above this i expect it could be stretched to far but not yet tested by myself at regiment level so i cant guarantee that , the galaxy creator is also very good a sold BattleTech rulebook
