First Adventure - Prima Avventura - Primera Aventura

First Adventure is what it's called by: the (perfect) First Adventure every new player would dream to start from.

Old time gamers, players and DMs alike, won't be disappointed anyway for it's a great adventure regardless if it's the first at all or not for them: it's a great Campaign start! I am a 30 years D&Der and I found it super funny!

It features handouts, soundtrack (yes, you read it well!), awesome illustrations and themed restyled character sheets in order to immerse the players within setting.

The adventure is emotionally rich and offers a lot of chances to be played with role-playing depth at will, while it doesn't stress with drama and moral choices and keeps a good pace. It has a lot of 80's fantasy mood (you know, The Goonies, Willow...).

It's well worth its price! Do yourself a favor and get it!

Superb setting and streamlined system to breath life into it definitely.

I was in search of a mature, realistic, dark fantasy when I spotted the cover among others here in Drivethru; then the Youtube teaser, and then the purchase of the PDF...and then the pre-order of the printed on Jarnringen site indeed!

Pick a d20 and immerse yourself in Ambria as soon as you can, for: 1. You won't ever regret; 2. You'll never come back!

Mature, realistic, dark fantasy!

Shadow of the Demon Lord

The game feels and is played like a truly old school one: that spirit is true! BUT it brings some freshness through the concept and the setting which is as gothic as Shelley, as fantasy as Shakespeare's Midsummer's Night Dream, as raw and traditional as Beowulf, and as smoky as the Industrial Revolution.

I feel strong that the concept matrixes here are more ancient than the tolkienesque that one is used to find in common fantasy settings: you have sinister fairies living in forests you wouldn't go through, ambiguous people, steam engine machines, clockwork people, construct orcs meant to be soldiers, goblins from Labyrinth '86 movie...this game brings on my table everything I've ever thought common fantasy was missing! True european myth flavor along with horror themes and mechanics with a bit of steampunk technological elements that refresh everything.

Meister Schwalb hits!
