FYI--it shows up green in installed modules, installed files to the modules folder, but just never shows up to activate it in manage modules!

VTT developer here. Sorry for the delayed response, but I've tried to diagnose this issue from a couple different angles and I'm still uncertain why this would not show up in manage modules.

Please verify that Foundry V11 and OSE version 1.8.0 or later is installed (although the OSE version shouldn't be the issue) and that you don't have any other modules activated (perhaps something is messing with your module list).

Always feel free to email customersupport@vtt.red for personalized troubleshooting steps.

I'm getting an error when trying to import the content. It tells me "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading '0')". It ends up with no scenes being imported at all.

I'm going back and replying to folks who have reported in multiple places for everyone to see the troubleshooting steps.

Is this happening on all of your module installs and module updates? If you updated directly from Foundry VTT V10 to V11, you will encounter a bug preventing you from doing certain actions, including adventure import. You have to completely uninstall and remove Foundry VTT application files (keep your user data), and do a clean install of V11.

It would be really nice to add some sort of token / journal note that indicates to the GM what the room number is. The current implementation requires that you have a separate map up with the room keys. Also the way journal notes/pins work is you can only link to a page and not a header link within a page, so even if one was to manually create notes/pins you can only link to the level page where all rooms are together. It could be nice to separate the rooms into individual pages.

A couple months ago we released an update that added map notes to all of the OSE Adventures on Foundry VTT. Each room/area has a journal icon that the referee can click to see the room description.

In order to get the fully up to date adventure, you may update the module like you normally would, and then re-import the adventure (by default, this overwrites any changes you made to scenes and actors, etc).

As heads up there is a knight on the entrance scene whose linked token is gone/not available.

Thanks, this was an oversight that was addressed in a previous update. It can be simply removed, but in order to get the fully up to date adventure, you may update the module like you normally would, and then re-import the adventure (by default, this overwrites any changes you made to scenes and actors, etc).

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
