PURCHASER

Is this worth buying if I have the original DG? Is it just a revised rerelase of the same material with new art etc, but basically the same stuff?

I am unfamiliar with Delta Green but have been attracted by the positive reviews. I understand this is a collection of some of the original material refreshed and expanded. Could the scenarios in this book be stitched together as a campaign?

There are no scenarios included in this book. It is almost entirely for the original 1990's setting and lore for Delta Green. The original scenarios from the old books will be in a future release called "Incursions" (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/arcdream/delta-green-the-conspiracy)

That seems to contradict this (from https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/415615/Delta-Green-Convergence):

Convergence has blighted the nightmares of unwitting players since it first appeared in 1992. This edition has been thoroughly edited and updated for Delta Green: The Role-Playing Game and it accompanies Delta Green: The Conspiracy, a sourcebook for terrors in the Nineties.

@Matthew: "it accompanies" means that particular scenario uses the 90's setting in 'The Conspiracy' as a backdrop, not that it is a part of that book itself.

How does this game compare with the, I'm guessing, 2016 release? It is essentially the same game but in its original 90s timeline?

Same ruleset, different period in the history of the lore. The 2016 game focuses on the "modern", post 9/11 era. This book focuses on the 90s.

An exquisite return to one of my all time favorites. I own all the previously published DG material and it's so nice to have it revised and updated and in such a beautifully produced product. Looking forward to returning to the frantic, conspiracy-haunted 90s in grand style sometime soon.
