ZWEIHANDER Fantasy Horror RPG: Starter Kit

So if this has new rules, new content, and a revised layout (thank god, the "tome" is densely written), does it replace the core rules? I'm interested in the new content, but not in buying the game a second time when I already have both a players handbook and the full core book.

I'm considering getting the physical starter set and was wondering if there are any plans for limited, more narrow focused expansions to it specifically (as opposed to the full RPG supplements). I'm referring perhaps to, for example, a separately purchaseable pack of additional professions updated to the new rules and in the same format as those in the starter for additional variety.

Is one of the Full Tankard maps supposed to have labels?

Can you get a physical copy at all?

So far I'm liking what I see.
I would have liked an example character or more explanations on professions.
I tried to roll a sellsword, but it's not clear if I get all three talents automatically or only the professional trait.
It says:
'Looking at your Profession Folio, unlock its Professional Trait by writing its effects down on the third page under Talents & Traits:'
So that would mean: No, don't add the Talents. But why are they even mentioned on the Portfolio Folio Card?
After some reading I found it on page 61 under 'Unlock New Abilities'. It would have been better to at least write a small sentence on 'Step 1: Your profession'.

First impressions of the rule changes (not a review because it doesn’t encompass the tools or adventure provided, nor utility for new players):

I’m glad the fortune system from FoF (trading back and forth) is official for Zwei now. (We were already using it)

Not a fan of how much stronger PCs are. They feel far too heroic from the start. We enjoyed earning that status, which set Zwei apart from games like D&D.

The conciseness of the rules is much better.

Careers having a stat boost is cool, but it’s not truly backwards compatible if the RCR and MG careers don’t have stat boots listed.

New ancestries are cool. Removing ancestry stat modifiers was weird but fine. (ogres aren’t strong?) However it does contribute to the players being too strong because while bonuses were moved to upbringing and career, penalties were seemingly removed entirely.

I’m unlikely to use most of this starter kit’s content. (and likely would not...See more have bought it if I realized the direction of the changes) It’s a shame to see yet another “grim horror” game lose its edge.
