What is the point of naming all those other games and then using inference to hint at D&D instead of saying it?

Highly usable book for solo gaming. Lots of sage advice on the subject. Lots of usable tables. The recommendations on oracles and streamlining your game play are a must have. I have been role playing for forty five years and solo gaming to test and run my own stuff to ensure it was workable for nearly a decade and this is a great resource. Highly recommend it to veterans and novices a like. I would also recommend this to new DM’s as well as there is a lot of grounded advice that can help a new DM.

I have the hard copy of this and it is absolutely excellent. It gets you thinking about how you can make your solo sessions more meaningful and story driven, it’s not just a book of tables but inspiring tips to keep you on track and if you like the Geekgamers Youtube channel this is for you.

Where's the "70+ pages of essential random tables" number come from? I've been looking and I counted 8 pages of original content from the author, about 20 pages of excerpts from public domain novels organized as a table, and an additional 8 pages of tables that were taken, with appropriate attribution, from other solo game developers. I can't find any more than that.

I had the same question. I think it is referring to the random small tables scattered throughout the book as examples? There very well could be 70+ pages of those. But overall, I feel very misled about this title. It is a book on the theory of solo roleplaying and some advice, not a useable toolkit.
