Goatlands GL3: The Fearfield War

by Jason Tondro

Two of the threadbarons are at war: Lady Garcy, the Baroness Salter, and the Baron of Fairfield, bearer of the sentient vorpal sword Ironvow. The conflict, driven by a band of ruthless goatfolk mercenaries, is bringing ruin to the region as commoners are massacred, homes are destroyed, and the goatfolk take prisoners and slaves. Can the PCs make a difference?

The Fearfield War is an adventure for 4-6 characters of level 3-5, using the 5th Edition of the world's most popular RPG. This is a sandbox-style adventure in which some events are likely to occur, but the player characters have latitude to travel and explore the region, encountering NPCs and pursuing whatever strategy they think best. The Fearfield War includes a new player character race: the chaotic goat folk, rapacious spawn of the Great God Pan.

Goatlands GL4: Mutiny at Blooming Port

by Thea Seals

As they travel the northernmost reaches of Panalane, the adventurers encounter the Tovarē. These hunter-gatherers, previously bound to the Great River, present a royal charter allowing them to resettle Blooming Port, a abandoned settlement nearby, and they beg the PCs for assistance.

The crossing ahead is hazardous, but the heroes’ mettle is tested when they discover the settlement is occupied. Anchored in the Market Square is Her Royal Highness, a two-masted schooner with a fractious crew flying a pirate flag. Meanwhile, the pirate-hunting necromancer, Commodore Amrit Ruggiero, sees a chance to capitalize upon the schism among the pirates and claim their corpses. Now, the fate of Blooming Port rests in the hands of the PCs.

Set on the banks of the Great River Ēa, Mutiny at Blooming Port is a 3rd-level adventure of exploration, combat, and social interaction intended to be played in 1-2 sessions

GL5: The Horror Under Thumehall

By Ade Smith

The thrilling conclusion of this series of Goatlands adventures.

Before the events of the Fearfield War adventure Sacco the goatfolk commander journeyed into the ruins of
Thumehall, an ancient monastery devoted to the earth god Thume. Given information by the green hag Mother Mayhem he was able to discover the caverns and tunnels hidden beneath the catacombs and the evils that were imprisoned there.

Now, with his future looking bleak, Sacco fled back to Thumehall to meet up with the goatfolk he had already stationed there. The original plan of Mother Mayhem’s was to try and harness the powers of the imprisoned evils but that was now well outside of Sacco’s or the spellcaster Renloth’s abilities. So instead, aided by some complicated protection rituals they are following Mother Mayhem’s other set of instructions, and will release one of the trapped evils onto the world and cause as much devastation as possible.

Yeah, as in, no description of the product whatsoever, it literally only says "text".

well- yeah. Who would want to buy a book without text? Geez, guys.
Anyway - thanks for catching that. I thought the description had been saved when I entered the title. But - apparently not. I've got a basic description now up for the product. Thanks for pointing that out.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
