Chance of success without Focus (successful on a roll of 5 or 6)<br />
* Disadvantage (1d6): 33% (-23%)<br />
* Normal (2d6): 56%<br />
* Advantage (3d6): 70% (+14%)<br />
<br />
Chance of success with Focus (successful on a roll of 4, 5, 6)<br />
* Disadvantage (1d6): 50% (-25%)<br />
* Normal (2d6): 75%<br />
* Advantage (3d6): 87.5% (+12.5%)<br />
<br />
So, I use a single d12 instead where you must get at least 7 (+2 if Disadvantage, -2 if Advantage, -1 if Focused) to succeed<br />
* Disadvantage without focus 9+: 33%<br />
* Normal without focus 7+: 50%<br />
* Advantage without focus 5+: 67%<br />
* Disadvantage with focus 8+: 5/12 = 42%<br />
* Normal with focus 6+: 7/12 = 58%<br />
* Advantage with focus 4+: 9/12 = 75%<br />
And complication is on the one on a separate d6 throw along the d12.

Greetings.

I bought TinySupers many months ago (it was part of a Bundle of Holding).
Yesterday I got a notification that an updated version would be in my library and that this would include a porting of the TinyCthulhu *combat system*.

I just downloaded the updated version, and fastforwarded to the combat section.
Where I find:

"To recap combat actions, you can:
• Evade
• Focus
• Test for an ability
• Attack
• Move
• Suppressing Fire
• Cover
There are four categories of weapons in Tiny Frontiers: Revised
—Light Melee, Heavy Melee, Light Ranged, and Heavy Ranged.
You can attack while unarmed, or even with improvised weapons
such as a barstool or a rock, but these are not classified as weapons"

Tiny Frontiers?!

In general this was something I already noticed in other titles from you: looks at least 50% of the manuals are just copypasted across...See more

Hi Paolo!

We rolled out a Tiny Frontiers: Revised edit yesterday too. Looks like when we did that, we made a mistake. While we do our best to edit texts, errors like the above will slip through. We'll be getting it fixed before the print update goes through.

As for the "copypasta", the goal of TinyD6 is to be as broadly compatible across all the game lines as we possibly can. As such, there are replicated/duplicated rules and references to other games in the line. That is intentional, and as we've been updating our previous games, we've been trying to improve how we do so (but some of the titles you are referencing are over 5-6 years old, done within the first few years of our publishing life as a company).

If that isn't something that works for you, that's ok! It's a deliberate design choice in many ways and not something that works for everyone.

Hey Tim! We just pushed an update out for it today. That means we have to reproof the prints. It will be a few weeks, after which previous purchasers will receive a discounted code to replace their older copies if they want.

If I were to take this to my local printshop for a coil bind print, what size should I tell them to print? They only have access to the International Paper Sizes where I'm at nowadays, so "digest" or "letter" will probably confuse them.

Power: Invulnerability
I see this power listed in some of the sample character descriptions (Gallant, Bulwark), but I cannot seem to find this power anywhere in the book - am I missing something?
Thank you.

Capstone appears to not follow the summoning rule. The rule states that you can give one of your powers to your minions but you lose access to that power. Capstone has 3 kinds of minions each with their own power, one of which he doesn't have. If he purchased multiples of each of those powers then he spent 3 more points on character creation than the other players. Unless I misunderstood how summoning works?

Kudos to the crew at Drive Thru. There was a delivery error by the USPS and they fixed it for me. Kudos to the writer of "Tiny Dungeon." It is a useful rules-lite sandbox. Kudos to Alan Barr for writing up the super powers to fit the system. We needed much more, but what's there is clever. The "Gallantverse" and "microverse" settings are completely useless, however. They were apparently written by middle school kids on their cell phones. The worst part is basically none of the characters invented for the "verse" sections (about 7/8ths of the book) are statted out. The fantasy races of "Tiny Dungeon" are swapped out for "archetypes" in this book which are basically useless. (IMHO origins would've been better.) Don't tell me you're supplying information for using the game and you haven't even provided stats for the characters. The product is very nicely produced, but a person could do just as well to download "Tiny Dungeons" for free...See more

Hey Chris!

You're likely looking for the file named "Threat Matrix" as well as the errata. (Some pages were omitted and will be rolled in in future printings.)

The statblocks of the "learner PCs" presented in the book seem to be about 2-3 traits more advanced than default starting characters? Or did I misunderstand character creation? P.20 mentions the selection of three Powers from the list, and P.29 outlines the Tiers as costing a Trait choice, yet Gallant on P. 59 seems to have a total of six selections (two more than the Paragon's regular four).

I think they put the full stat block in three by mistake and not the starting character one.

Hey folks - They are learner PCs, designed to show the game and the potential of it (as well as serve as NPCs). Because the stat-block is doing double duty, these PCs are more "advanced" than the standard character creation (hence the extra traits.)

In to use a hopefully more accessible analogy, they might be "Level 3" starting characters, rather than "Level 1". A file of standard 3-trait pregenerated characters will be coming down the pipeline this year.

Is there a reddit, discord or forums that I can go to where there is some discussion on the game? I have not been able to locate anything official. There are some things that are unclear and would like to bounce around some power ideas with others who have more experience with the game.

Re-skinning is easy. I mean actual powers that aren’t in there, like weather control, cosmic flight, or higher super speeds more akin to the Flash as opposed to Quicksilver.

Hey Chris! Some files will be accessible through old posts, though anything sent through DTRPG will not be accessible. Future products are coming that will have additional powers as we see fit, though not higher power levels.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
